What's special about bed and breakfast accommodation?
Really, when it comes right down to it, accommodation can mean just a shower and a bed for the night; another anonymous room (where was that motel where the tap dripped all night?) which immediately slips from your mind.
Your experience in hosted bed and breakfast accommodation, on the other hand, can become a lasting memory which stays with you whenever you think of your holiday. The difference - your hosts.
So, who are your hosts?
Your host (and usually cook, waiter, tour guide, gardener and everything else as well!) is a special kind of person who has decided to open their home to strangers travelling away from their own homes, sometimes in a foreign land. This is not just a business for most; it's a lifestyle choice, an opportunity to meet interesting people and to share and enhance their enjoyment of what may become their holiday of a lifetime.
Bed and breakfast operators come from all walks of life. Some still have 'proper' jobs outside the business. They may have been farmers, nurses, academics, engineers, teachers (for some reason there are a lot of teachers!) in an earlier life, but they have all been drawn to the bed and breakfast side of the hospitality industry.
Why? Well, largely, because they enjoy your company and making you happy. There are far easier ways to simply earn a living!
Now we invite you to meet some of your hosts
These are the people you will meet on your travels, who will take care of you and make you feel welcome, comfortable and well fed at a Tasmanian hosted bed and breakfast.
These are the people who are the difference between just accommodation and an experience which will become part of the memories you treasure of your Tasmanian holiday.
