About Mole Creek
Mole Creek is a small village nestled in a valley, in what locals claim to be the prettiest part of Tasmania. Attractions include the Mole Creek caves (King Solomons - shown right - and Marakoopa show caves, plus hundreds of 'wild' caves), Trowunna Devil and Wildlife Park, and natural features such as Alum Cliffs and Gorge, Devil's Gullet and Lobster Falls. Local fishing guides are available.
This is Tasmania as you've always imagined it. A patchwork of pastures and working farms, drives through some of Tassie's most scenic wilderness area, walks for young and old, and - the prize of them all - the World Heritage Walls of Jerusalem.
The area is rich with fine food outlets and Mole Creek's Laurelberry Restaurant has been voted 'Top of the Pops in the Steak Stakes' according to Tassie Tourism Surveys. Others include Chudleigh Honey Farm, Mole Creek Honey Factory, Christmas Hills Rasperry Farm, Ashgrove Cheeses, Anvers Chocolate Factory, 41 Degrees South Salmon Farm and Classic Black Forest Smallgoods.
Mole Creek is located close to Deloraine, on the tourist route to Cradle Mountain from Launceston and Devonport. An ideal touring centre for the central north area of Tasmania.
