Scottsdale is the heart of the North East of Tasmania and home to the unique EcoCentre, which has a full TVIN facilities and features a greenhouse forest interpretative centre that is a must-see.
Rich volcanic soils make this a very fertile, prime agricultural area. There are some beautiful, almost untouched forest and bush areas within close reach, featuring wildlife, waterfalls and rainforests. Excellent bushwalking areas are a feature of the north east of Tasmania. The lovely seaside village and beaches of Bridport are also the home of the Barnbougle Links Golf Course which is just 15 minutes drive from Scottsdale, or you can drive 20 minutes to the internationally renowned Bridestowe Lavender Farm.
